January 2026 Product Update

Cassidy Team, Feb 04, 2026

Hey Cassidy community,

Here's everything that's new in Cassidy this month.

Happy reading.

⭐ Spotlight: The Shift from Assistants to Agents

We're officially renaming Assistants to Agents across Cassidy, to reflect their true capabilities.

When we first launched Assistants, they could query your Knowledge Base—answering questions with accuracy and context that generic AI couldn't match. That's still powerful, and it always will be.

But over the past year, our Assistants have evolved well beyond search. They can now reason through multi-step problems, take action across your systems, and handle nuanced work like a teammate would. We've steadily added more agentic capabilities—and the product today looks very different from where we started.

Just in the past month alone, we've shipped:

  • Artifacts: Generate interactive dashboards, calculators, and charts directly in chat—live, clickable outputs you can share with your team
  • Salesforce, Airtable, and Snowflake tools: Query and take action in plain language, with Human-in-the-Loop approvals before any data changes
  • Version History & Publishing: Save iterations, compare versions, and revert changes as you build

Internally, on customer calls, and across the market, the term we kept hearing was "agents."

We held off on the rename until the product could deliver on that promise. It can now.Your existing configurations, permissions, and settings are unchanged—and there are many more agentic features to come.

👋 Agent Improvements

Updated Building Experience: Testing & Version History

Paired with a cleaner interface, version history now lets you save iterations and revert to previous versions without losing work. Testing complex Agents has never been easier.

New Agent Tools: Salesforce, Airtable, and Snowflake Connections

Teams can query these tools in plain language to extract information quickly, with in-chat approvals for any actions that modify data.

Agents in Microsoft Teams & Slack Can Now Create and Share Files

Generate charts, Word documents, PowerPoints, PDFs, Excel sheets, and more without leaving the conversation in Microsoft Teams & Slack.

Export and Import Agents

Agents can now be downloaded as a file and re-uploaded to any account. Making it easier to share Agents across multiple workspaces without rebuilding them from scratch.

⛲ Workflow Improvements

🖼️ Image Support In Workflows

Use the File field type to upload images into your automations and the new Generate Image action to create images based on a prompt.

This opens up new possibilities for visual content creation, from generating branded graphics to automating image-based processes in Workflows.

Real-Time Workflow Status Alerts

Configure email notifications to alert you immediately, hourly, or daily whenever something unusual happens with your Workflow runs.

Spend less time monitoring your Workflows and more time building new automations that drive results.

Stop a Workflow at Any Point During Execution

Make immediate edits to a specific workflow section you’re testing by stopping the run at any time.

Search Past Workflow Runs by Keyword

It’s now faster to locate past runs when you have a particular word or phrase in mind, helping you review and reference previous executions more efficiently.

New Workflow Action: Download Files from URL

This makes it easier to pull in external documents and use them within your Workflows, eliminating the back and forth of manually downloading and uploading files.

📚 Platform Improvements

Automatically Map SSO Groups From Your Identity Provider

Eliminate the need to manually configure new users into permission groups by importing your existing ones in tools such as Okta, Azure and Google.

SharePoint Site Pages and Lists Now Available in Knowledge Base

The SharePoint integration has been expanded to now give you even more access to your SharePoint content, natively in Cassidy.

Other Improvements

Additionally, we've added Composio as a new sub-processor to enhance our external integration capabilities—vetted to meet our security and privacy standards. You can always view a full list of our sub-processors here.
